“This image reminds me of the beauty of the sun when it rises and sets. This image is of the sun setting, a marking of the end of one thing (our day) where we navigate a period of ‘night’ time and foster anticipation of the new day when the sun rises again. As I consider Lent and Easter, this period of intentionally remembering Jesus’ sacrifice during the Lenten season has beauty in it still as the sun/son sets and the period of absence of sunlight (i.e. Good Friday) takes us to an anticipation of Easter when the Son/Sun rises again.”
