Joe Williams
Joe is a sixth generation Oklahoman, a citizen of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, and is a senior pursuing his Master of Divinity from Seminary of the Southwest in Austin, Texas. Currently a Candidate for Holy Orders for the Diocese of Oklahoma, he hopes to return to Oklahoma following graduation. Joe has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Organizational Leadership from the University of Oklahoma, and studied history at the University of Tulsa. Previously, Joe has served as the development and communications director for nonprofit organizations in the Tulsa area serving agencies specializing in care for those in hospice, HIV/AIDS and individuals with developmental disabilities. Joe currently serves at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd in Austin, TX and is sponsored for ordination by Trinity Episcopal Church in downtown Tulsa.
Joe holds certifications in Nonprofit Management through the Oklahoma Center for Nonprofits, email marketing from Hubspot and is a graduate from “The Asking Academy,” Schnake Turnbo Frank’s “Leadership and Reputation Academy,” as well as Leadership Tulsa’s “New Voices” program. Joe currently sits on the board of directors of Hospice of Green Country, Tulsa’s only nonprofit, United Way funded hospice, and the Bigheart Historical Society.
